VideoPinball.org is a compendium of video pinball games — every pinball game that has ever appeared on a screen, from 1974 to the present day.
What counts as a video pinball game
- The game must have some sort of ball, or ball-like object.
- The game must have some sort of flippers. Arkanoid-type games do not count.
- No hacked versions of other games — for example, a Skully pinball table built from the Unity Pinball Creator asset.
- Games created with Pinball Construction Set are counted as tables for Pinball Construction Set, rather than as separate games. Games tagged Pinball Construction Set are hidden from the default listings, but they can be found here.
- Games built from the Unity Pinball Creator asset are hidden from the default listings, but they can be found here.
- Games that make only minimal changes to the Pinball Creator Unity asset are not allowed, nor is other shovelware, such as low-effort Android games. Games tagged as shovelware are hidden from the default listings, but they can be found here if anyone wants to petition that status.
How the list works
Every game has a system, a developer or publisher, a year, and an Imaginative rating from 1 to 9 — where 1 is a table that could be built as a real machine, and 9 is one that would be impossible in the physical world.
Games with a long list of individual tables, such as Visual Pinball X, list those tables on their own detail page.
