The game was a rush when the request came in, due to a hard release date for the music video. Development took 80 hours, and included the creation of a brand new pinball physics engine from scratch. The entire game fit into a 400K download. That may seem like nothing now, but in the day of 56k modem-driven internet connections that was pretty compact.
Art & game layout by Stanton Interactive & MTV. The original release on MTV also maintained a high score board.
