Witch is a Sega medal game that disguises a gambling/bingo game as pinball. Players wager medals on lines of a bingo-style card, then play a pinball-style game where targets and bumpers correspond to numbered spaces on the card. Hitting the appropriate numbers crosses them off, and completing a wagered line awards medals.

The pinball is therefore less a traditional pinball game than the gameplay interface for the underlying bingo system. The goal isn’t simply to achieve a high pinball score, but to hit the numbers needed to complete your bets and maximize your medal winnings. As a Japanese medal game, the wagers involve arcade medals rather than cash, placing Witch firmly in the gambling-game tradition of Japanese arcades.

The game was later reworked and released as Pinball Champ ’95, a version that places considerably more emphasis on its pinball identity.
